The Guadalupe Box

The Rio Guadalupe is one of my favorite trout streams. It is formed at the confluence of the Rio de Las Vacas and the Rio Cebolla at Porter Landing.

This gem of a river flows east and south through a beautiful canyon that is just far enough away from the road to discourage most casual anglers. The Guadalupe empties into the Jemez River at Canon.

The canyon section is not stocked so your quarry will be wild resident Brown Trout. This is another factor in discouraging most anglers.
